Sometimes I just get these ideas and
all of a sudden I make a photograph.
all of a sudden I make a photograph.
This is from the Old Davie School in Davie, Florida. I am in the classroom at the teachers desk.
I wanted to create a nostalgic photograph. As usuall with me, I walked around and approached the subject from all angles and then as if by magic I made this shot. Hey, I like it! How about you?
Here is a little more information on the school house and I have some photos of the building I will post later when I can find them on my hard drive. Darn, I hate it when I misplace a photo on that drive.
Old Davie School is a rare, early landmark of Broward County’s westward development, a symbol of early twentieth century progressiveness in Florida. This historic structure was the first permanent school in the Everglades and is now Broward County’s oldest existing school building. It was in continuous use as a school until 1980. From the day it opened, the Davie School served as the area’s source of education as well as a center for community gatherings. More about the School here.
